Discover Suwanee
A vibrant town center. Room to explore. A place to feel connected.
Suwanee brings a distinctive rhythm to life in Gwinnett County. Here, a morning walk can lead into coffee downtown, an afternoon can unfold along wooded trails, and an evening can bring neighbors together around live music, local dining, and community events. It’s a place where outdoor living and an active downtown are part of the same story.
At its heart is Suwanee Town Center, a walkable district where restaurants, shops, public art, and green space come together. Nearby, historic Old Town adds another layer of character along Main Street. Together, these destinations give Suwanee a downtown worth exploring—and reasons to keep coming back.
Parks That Become Part of Your Routine
Suwanee’s outdoor spaces offer more than an occasional weekend escape. Sims Lake Park features a seven-acre lake, a 1.2-mile looping trail, a playground, and picnic areas. For longer walks and bike rides, the Suwanee Creek Greenway winds through approximately four miles of woods, wetlands, and wildlife habitat, with access from Suwanee Creek Park.
George Pierce Park adds sports fields, playgrounds, walking trails, and a community recreation center to the mix. Back downtown, Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park expand the outdoor experience with gathering lawns, sand volleyball courts, wooded space, and a striking pedestrian bridge. Whether your pace is active or unhurried, there’s room to enjoy it here.
Shopping, Dining & Local Discoveries
Town Center offers a mix of local businesses and dining in a setting that invites you to linger. Along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suwanee Jubilee includes The Fresh Market and additional dining and services. For a larger shopping outing, Mall of Georgia in nearby Buford offers an extensive retail destination beyond Suwanee itself.
Suwanee’s personality also comes through in its community calendar. Suwanee Fest, the Suwanee Farmers Market, and the rotating Suwanee SculpTour outdoor sculpture exhibition bring opportunities to gather, discover local offerings, and experience art outside a gallery.
Schools, Academic Opportunities & Championship Athletics
Suwanee’s school story includes college-level learning, specialized STEM programs, and championship athletics. North Gwinnett High School reported 19 National Merit Scholarship Finalists in its Class of 2026, while its FIRST Robotics team won a state championship and advanced to world competition. The Bulldogs won the 2017 GHSA Class 7A football state championship, adding a lasting athletic milestone to the school’s identity.
Peachtree Ridge High School offers the SPIRE STEM program, certified by both the Georgia Department of Education and Cognia. Its 2026 AP Honor School recognitions include STEM, STEM Achievement, Humanities, Humanities Achievement, and Schools of Distinction. The district’s current profile also highlights the boys basketball team’s third consecutive region championship.
At Collins Hill High School, Advanced Placement and dual enrollment provide routes to college-level learning. The school reports AP Honor School recognition in six categories and a state title for its Gameday Cheer team during 2025–26. The Eagles also won the 2021 GHSA Class 7A football state championship, giving the school a championship tradition across different sports.
